RL Restaurant- 115 East Chicago Avenue Chicago, IL 60611- (773)475-1100

Located adjacent to the world's largest Polo store, the Chicago Flagship on Michigan Avenue, RL Restaurant represents Ralph Lauren's debut into the restaurant industry. Opened in 1999, the restaurant features the vision and décor of Ralph Lauren and modern city-club cuisine.

The food is inspired by American classics - seafood, steaks, chops, salads, sandwiches - a menu that stands apart from fashion and trends. Some of their more popular items are prepared table-side. Their cuisine combines with a unique club atmosphere-- where even the first time diner is treated as a member (although this is not always the case when it comes with interactions with fellow diners as my twenty-something self could attest to when I was young, fabulous and working on Michigan Avenue).
RL's dress code is smart business casual. Reservations are suggested and walk-ins are welcomed. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club.

To make a reservation,  reserve online now or call.
As for the menu my go-to items are as follows:
I've never been a carb counter so I love their bread basket it comes with an assortment of really tasty homemade breads and these cheddar crackers that are amazing!
Appetizers:Escargots
Soups: Tomato Bisque
Sides: Green Beans Amandine, Asparagus Polonaise
Lunch/ Sandwiches: RL Burger
Dinner/Main plates: Filet Perigourdine
Desserts: Bunky's Cookies, Sorbet Trio

It's a charming and ultra cozy Italian restaurant. People love this place. On any given night you can see families enjoying a regular meal out or celebrating a special occasion, first dates, and a group for "Girl's Night out". Johnny is the owner, you can spot him because he is a sharp dresser, and has a heart of gold. The staff is beyond phenomenal! They are well trained, know their menu, mix great drinks, and have no problem with substitutions or getting them right. Have you ever seen a busser doing such a good job you felt compelled to tip them too besides your waiter? I have here! I am addicted to their eggplant spread that is given gratis at every table with fresh baked bread. As for the menu my go-to items are as follows:
Appitizers- Bruschetta, Mussels
Pasta- Fusilli (believe it or not this tastes even better as leftovers a few days later)
Main Course- Filet Mignon (In my book this is the best steak in Chicago hands down! You will never see asparagus this big anywhere else, just thinking about the sauce on this makes me look like one of Pavlov's dogs.)

This company has more then one location, but this is my favorite to go to. You've got to love their easy to navigate floor layout as well as the pretty wicked art on the walls. They specialize in Dell computers, but have all types of products for whatever you are working with. Even when I went away to college in Iowa I still ordered things I needed from them online. I've also had a laptop worked on that was busted and their service was fast, honest, and fair. The staff is exceptional and really know their stuff, so don't be afraid to ask questions if being techie is not your thing.
